The results of Kim & Brymer study [3] show that there is a significant relationship between job commitment and performance. There are also many factors, including the organization support for employee, that greatly increase commitment, reduce turnover, and improve performance. Commitment dramatically increases the performance of the organization, the employees' psychological vitality, better expression of the organization's goals as well as the achievement of personal goals. ... [5]. Subjective well-being is one of the intrinsic factors that can affect the organizational commitment of employees in each organization. ... [6]. In a study, Wendyder et al. (7) showed that psychological well-being had a significant effect on organizational performance of employees. Javedan et al. [6] also showed that subjective well-being, quality of life, and mental health were significantly correlated. Another intrinsic factor affecting job commitment of employees in any organization is the quality of work life (QWL). ... [8]. Rahimian & Najafi [9] and Ghalei et al. [10] showed that there is a relationship between quality of working life and organizational health with organizational commitment. .. [11].

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of subjective well-being and QWL on job commitment of staff of Hospital.

This research is a descriptive correlational study.

This research was conducted on the staff of Shahid Paryab Isar Hospital, Ardabil in 2018.

According to the minimum sample size in correlational research (100 people) [12] and also the low number of statistical population, to increase external validity, all Isar hospital employees (180 subjects) were enrolled through census.

The following research tools were used: 1- Blavo Career Commitment Scale: … [13]. The validity of this questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability reported 0.82 using Cronbach's alpha method [2]. In the present study, its reliability obtained 0.65 via Cronbach's alpha. 2- Subjective well-being scale: … [14]… [15]. In the Fakhrpour et al. [16] research, the coefficient of reliability and test-retest reliability were reported 0.95. Golestani Bakht [15] obtained the whole reliability and its subscales, including emotional well-being, psychological well-being and social well-being, 0.75, 0.76, 0.64, and 0.76, respectively. Also, the Cronbach's alpha for each of the above cases is 0.80, 0.86, 0.80 and 0.64, respectively, indicating the desired internal consistency of the scale [16]. In the present study, Cronbach's alpha for this scale was 0.68. 3- Standard questionnaire of quality of work life: … [17]. Walton estimated the overall content validity of the quality of work life as 0.73 and its reliability coefficient 0.76 via Cronbach's alpha. Its reliability and validity have been validated and used in similar studies [18]. In the present study, the reliability of the questionnaire obtained 0.93 using Cronbach's alpha. For conducting the study, the necessary approval was obtained from the hospital ethics committee. Then, before distributing the questionnaires, the participants were assured of confidentiality of information and data will not be given to the Head, any person or organization. The consent was obtained from the subjects and the questionnaires were provided and collected after the deadline. Data were analyzed by SPSS 23 software. The Pearson correlation test and stepwise regression analysis were used.

All staff was male. The mean age of staff was 44.08 ± 4.34 years, ranging from 24 to 58 years. Most of the subjects were married and had a bachelor's degree. Their average work experience was 11.90 ± 6.19 years and their average income was 2281,000 ±76.99 (Table 1).The mean score of subjective well-being was 165.30 ±39.05, the mean score of QWL was 114.41 ±18.91 and the mean score of job commitment was 26.82 ± 4.78. There was a significant positive correlation between subjective well-being score (p <0.01; r = 0.78) and QWL (p <0.01; r = 0.42) of hospital staff with their job commitment. In Model 1, subjective well-being alone explained 60.8% of the variance of the job commitment of Ardabil psychiatric hospital staff and in Model 2, by adding QWL about 1% was added to the variance of the job commitment and it was increased to 62.0% (Tables 2 and 3).

There was a significant positive correlation between subjective well-being of Isar hospital staff and their job commitment. No research directly correlating with these results was found, however Gholamali Lavasani et al. [19], Golparvar et al. [20] and Javedan et al. [6]. Studies can be mentioned. Barghi Irani et al. [21] in a study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle and mental well-being of the elderly. ... [22-25]. The QWL of Isar hospital staff was positively and significantly correlated with their job commitment. This finding is consistent with the findings of Keshavrz et al. [26] indicating that there is a positive and significant relationship between QWL and organizational commitment as well as Rahimian & Najafi [9], Qhalei et al. [10], and Chinomena and Druppe [11] about the positive and significant relationship between QWL and employees' job commitment and also Eftekhari et al. [27] representing the mediating role of job satisfaction in the significant relationship between QWL and organizational commitment. ... [28, 29].

It is recommended to conduct a similar study in other covered hospitals by METHOD Co. and compare the findings with our results.

This study was performed on the staff of Isar Hospital in Ardabil. Therefore, generalization of results to other hospitals covered by the METHOD Co should be done with caution and generalization of results should be done on the condition that both studied used similar statistical population.

The high subjective well-being and quality of work life increase job commitment in hospital staff.
